Anxiety & Stress reduction Skills Group for young adults (forming now)

Join Dr. Alejandra Feliz for this structured 10-week group to learn coping skills for anxiety and stress reduction. The group will utilize CBT skills and techniques.

This group is for adults aged 18-27 and will meet virtually. In this group, you will connect with peers your age, discuss current stressors and worries in a safe and supportive environment, learn valuable skills, and have the opportunity to practice skills during and between group sessions.

Goals:
- Learn to identify symptoms of stress and anxiety and their triggers
- Identify common contingencies (behaviors, thoughts) that maintain/exacerbate negative symptoms (avoidance, procrastination, overthinking)
- Stress Management Skills:
o Relaxation Skills (mindfulness, progressive muscle relaxation, deep breathing & visualization)
o Cognitive Restructuring
o Distress Tolerance
- Implement real self-care practices

About the facilitator: Dr. Alejandra Feliz is a clinical psychologist at The Centered Space Psychology Group. She is an integrative therapist, trained in attachment, ACT, IFS, CBT/DBT and EFT couples and family therapy. Dr. Ale enjoys working with young adults, teaching skills, and supporting patients through life transitions and challenging periods.
